About
Janelle Miller: A Life of Restoration
Janelle Miller is, first and foremost, a child of the King—her identity is defined by the Great I Am. Every aspect of her life flows from this foundation.
She is married to the love of her life, James. Their story began as childhood crushes, only to be reunited 11 years later—of all places—while picking up dinner at Domino’s Pizza. At the time, Janelle was already a mother. As a preacher’s kid, much of her early life was shaped by the weight of others’ expectations and a deep fear of rejection, leading her into difficult seasons during her first 24 years. At 18, she became pregnant, and at 19, she welcomed her first son, Xavier.
When she and James reconnected, Xavier was five years old. James, already deeply rooted in his faith, led Janelle back “home”—back to church, back to God. Their connection was undeniable, and within four months of their first date, they were married. That fall, James legally adopted Xavier as his own, solidifying their family. Between 2008 and 2014, their home grew even fuller with the births of River, Harrison, and Sawyer. With Sawyer as the youngest, Janelle’s place as the beloved queen of a house full of boys was firmly set.
As a proud boy mom, Janelle was overjoyed to welcome her first daughter-in-law, Jillian, into the family in 2020, followed by their first granddaughter, Addalyn. Then, in 2022, their family was doubly blessed with the arrival of twin grandsons, Zae and Bow. She lovingly calls them their 7/11 babies, as they made their grand entrance on July 11th—fast and furious at just 26 weeks.
Faith, Family, and Ministry
Day-to-day life is filled with keeping up with family—River navigating high school while the two youngest sons continue their homeschooling journey.
A few months after marrying, James and Janelle launched a cleaning and restoration business. What began as a simple carpet cleaning service has since expanded into a full-service company specializing in mold remediation, air duct cleaning, and fire and water damage restoration for homes and businesses. Their passion for restoration—both in physical spaces and in people’s lives—has been at the heart of their work from the very beginning.
In 2013, James experienced a suddenly moment, stepping into the role of pastor at their church. It took Janelle a full week to realize that meant she was now the pastor’s wife. Having grown up in the glass house of ministry, she was no stranger to the weight of leadership. While she and James had always envisioned a life of ministry, pastoring a church had never been in their plans. This transition also catapulted Janelle from worship team member to worship pastor overnight. With much to learn, they committed themselves wholeheartedly to rebuilding the foundation of their church—pouring into its people, strengthening its vision, and trusting God’s guidance every step of the way.
In 2015, Janelle founded the Victorious Women’s Retreat, an annual gathering designed to pour life, encouragement, and the Word of God into women. Year after year, it has been a powerful space where women experience transformation—breaking free from the lies of the enemy and embracing the truth of God’s love. While Janelle enjoys decorating with glitter and serving cupcakes, these retreats are anything but fluff. They are rooted in deep, soul-stirring encounters with Jesus. Preaching when God calls her to, Janelle is driven by a passion to see lives changed and hearts restored.
Creativity & Restoration
Outside of family and ministry, Janelle thrives in creativity. She is a social media content creator, an interior designer, an Airbnb Superhost, and the owner of a brick-and-mortar antique shop. Her love for interior design is insatiable—she dreams of new ideas both awake and asleep. Whether flipping houses, redesigning disaster-ravaged homes, or creating places of respite for hundreds of Airbnb guests, Janelle finds joy in transforming spaces. The more dilapidated the structure, the greater the reward in making something out of nothing.
A Heart for the Nations
Janelle is also a world traveler, with international missions deeply embedded in her family’s heart. She has journeyed to Zambia multiple times and has many more trips on the horizon. Through these experiences, she has witnessed firsthand the urgency of the Gospel—there are still places in the world where the name of Jesus has yet to be heard. When she isn’t dreaming of design, she’s often dreaming of walking through villages in Africa, bringing hope and restoration to those in need.
A Life of Restoration
Through every part of her journey, restoration remains a central theme in Janelle’s life. She is a child of God, redeemed by the blood of the Lamb, and has dedicated her life to restoring people and restoring homes. Restoration is at the core of everything she does—because the One who restored her has called her to do the same.
